Self catering 2 bedroom holiday apartment in a quiet privileged location a few minutes away by car or by bus from the city centre, with easy and quick access, and unique views. (Parish Santa Maria Maior)
 
The city of Funchal stretches along a hillside, forming an amphitheater.
Walking from our Madeira apartments to the city centre is an option but not recommended as there are streets downhill with no sidewalks.
 
Car is not necessary.
Bus stop 40 meters away from the apartment entrance, with regular service.
City centre 8 minutes drive away, 30 minutes walking (2 kilometres).
Barreirinha Beach Complex 5 minutes drive away, 22 minutes walking (1.5 kilometres).
Palheiro Golf Course 10 minutes drive away (3.5 kilometres).
Madeira International Airport 14 minutes distant (15 kilometres).
 

For our guests convenience we can organise a private airport transfer to the apartment and help on car rental arrangements.

Public Transportation

Regular Urban Bus Service

On board ticket = 1.95 EUR (allows 1 single journey).
 
GIRO card for prepaid charges = 0.50 EUR. Save it to reuse on your next visits to Madeira.
Prepaid tickets charged from 2 to 9 trips = 1.35 EUR each. From 10 to 31 trips = 1.25 EUR each. For less than 45 minutes between buses, only 1 trip will be charged using prepaid tickets.
There are 1, 3, 5 and 7 days tickets (4.50 EUR, 11.50 EUR, 16.50 EUR and 21.50 EUR) valid from the time of 1st validation in any route of the urban service, without limit of trips.
 
You can buy these tickets at the shop in Anadia Shopping Center and at the kiosk on the sea front promenade. You can use Cash or Debit Card.

GROCERY DELIVERY
 

Pingo Doce Supermarket in Anadia Shopping Center has delivering service (they will deliver the bags up to the kitchen).
The products will be stored in the correct temperatures until being delivered.
Before start purchasing (on the physical store), you just need to confirm available delivering hours.
Delivering service 5.00 EUR for purchases between 50 EUR and 99.99 EUR.
Free delivering service for people aged over 65 with purchases over 25 EUR, or purchases over 100 EUR regardless of age.
 
You may have started your day with the shopping, have your activities during the day, and get your shopping delivered by the end of the day, without having to carry any supermarket bags.
 

 
BREAD VAN – DOOR TO DOOR HOUSEHOLD DELIVERY
 

Monday to Saturday around 18h00, and Sunday around 11h00 – the driver honks to announce his arrival, goes to the end of the street and when he drives back you may purchase your fresh bread.
